One of the more challenging items Selaris Web Media developed for us was an application to extract listing information from our database and format the data for output for our hardcopy community directories, some with over 37,000 listings. Separate applications were created for White Page and Yellow Page output listings. The report generator program automatically formats the listings according to our specifications, such as column width, font size for each line, bolding, colour, etc. This enabled us to import the listings directly into a graphics program, where the listings and display ads are compiled for the hardcopy directories.
